Santa Fe del Penedès
Village
Santa Fe del Penedès is a small municipality in the Barcelona Alt Penedès, with 365 inhabitants, situated on a small hillock at an altitude of 240 metres, near the hill of the Pujols de la Granada, the highest point in the municipal area at 311 metres. It was called simply Santa Fe until the municipal naming reform of 1916, when it adopted its current name. Its coat of arms, approved in 1994, shows a grille and a palm, traditional attributes of Santa Fe, patron saint of the town; the flag, approved a year later, is white with a black stripe and a green one. The village is accessed via the C-244 road, between Villafranca del Penedès and Igualada, taking a local turn-off five kilometres from Villafranca, a town to which it is also connected by a bus line.
