What to see and do in Moraleja del Vino

Moraleja del Vino
Village
Moraleja del Vino is a town of 1,796 inhabitants located about 10 kilometres from the city of Zamora, with which it is linked by the ZA-610 road that continues towards Sanzoles, Venialbo and La Bóveda de Toro, near the junction with the N-630 and the Ruta de la Plata. The name “del Vino” distinguishes this Moraleja from others in the province, such as Moraleja de Sayago; it formed part of the old Zamora Partido del Vino. In the mid-19th century it had 929 inhabitants. It is the birthplace of the sculptor Eduardo Barrón; its Renaissance church of Santa María Magdalena has a 16th-century central nave and 18th-century aisles, and preserves two embroidered chasubles from the late 15th century.
