Coreses
Village
Coreses is a municipality in Zamora province with 1,054 inhabitants, located in the Tierra del Pan comarca, thirteen kilometres from the provincial capital. Its territory, flat to the north, borders the right bank of the Duero to the south and is crossed by the Algodre stream, already channelled where it passes through the town centre. It was founded in the Middle Ages by Mozarabs from Coria, as part of the resettlement processes of the kings of León, and the village's name derives from their gentilic. Today it brings together some sixty industries in its industrial estates, among them workshops that manufacture wind-turbine towers.
