What to see and do in Brincones

Brincones
Village
A hamlet in Salamanca province, in the comarca of Vitigudino, in the sub-comarca of La Ramajería, with around 53 inhabitants across 14.90 km². It was resettled by Ferdinand II of León in the 12th century within the alfoz of Ledesma, and in 1833 it was incorporated into the province of Salamanca, within the Leonese Region. Its parish priest came to have fourteen vicariates under his authority, which earned him the nickname “el obispillo de Brincones” (the little bishop of Brincones). It preserves the parish church of Santiago Apóstol, and its mayor receives no financial compensation whatsoever for the post.
