Narros de Matalayegua
Village
Narros de Matalayegua is a municipality of 159 inhabitants spread across nine settlements, in the Campo de Salamanca district, within the La Huebra subdistrict. It was founded in the 14th century as Naharros, within the archpriesthood of the Valdobla, subject to the jurisdiction of Salamanca in the Kingdom of León. Its hamlets are older: in the 13th century, within the former quarter of la Corvacera, they were called Perreleios (today Peralejos de Solís), Porcarizos (Peña de Cabra), and Íñigo appears as Enego. By the mid-19th century the place had barely 110 inhabitants, according to the Diccionario de Madoz.
