Villada
Village
Villada is a town of around 865 inhabitants in the province of Palencia, situated in the valley of the río Sequillo, in the natural comarca of Tierra de Campos, within a flat, open landscape of gentle hills that forms part of the Duero basin. It came to exceed 2,000 inhabitants in the 19th century. It is famous for its morcilla blood sausage, around which it celebrates the Fiesta de la Matanza every year, and it preserves the church of San Fructuoso, in Gothic-Mudejar style.
