Miraveche
Village
Miraveche is a municipality in the comarca of La Bureba, in the province of Burgos, with 92 inhabitants, situated at the foot of the Montes Obarenes, in whose municipal area the village of Silanes is also found. The region was inhabited in antiquity by the Autrigones tribe, from whom comes the important necropolis discovered in Miraveche in 1915 and made ready for visits in 2013. It was a town of the Cuadrilla de Santa María de Ribarredonda, one of the seven into which the Merindad de Bureba was divided, under royal jurisdiction, and today belongs to the judicial district of Miranda de Ebro. Its church, dedicated to Santa Eulalia de Mérida, is a dependency of the parish of Pancorbo.
