Cubo de Bureba
Village
Cubo de Bureba is a municipality of Burgos province with 102 inhabitants, in the comarca of La Bureba, situated on flat land watered by the San Millán and la Planta streams, which join to form the Oroncillo river, a tributary of the Ebro. In old documents it appears under the name Vindeleya; it was a crown town with a local magistrate (regidor pedáneo) and, after the fall of the Old Regime, was constituted as a town council of the Briviesca district, with 446 inhabitants at the time. Its baroque church of San Millán Abad, dependent on the parish of Busto de Bureba, has a slender tower recently restored and holds inside a solid wooden choir stall and an old organ that is not well preserved.
