What to see and do in Moros

Moros
Village
Moros is a municipality in the comunidad of Calatayud, in Zaragoza, perched at 791 metres on a rocky spur which the Manubles river, a tributary of the Jalón, encircles in a closed meander after watering the vega of Villalengua. It has 274 inhabitants (INE 2025). Crowning the ridge of the spur stands the church of Santa Eulalia, a Mudéjar temple with a single nave of five bays covered by barrel vaults with lunettes, without a transept. The town, already mentioned in 1182 in a bull of Pope Lucius III as part of the patrimony of the Church of Calatayud, preserves the memory of a castle traditionally said to have been built by King Ayyub of the taifa of Calatayud, and was a border town between Aragon and Castile, falling into the hands of Peter I of Castile in 1362.
