What to see and do in Puendeluna

Puendeluna
Village
Puendeluna is a municipality of the Cinco Villas, in the province of Zaragoza, situated on the right bank of the river Gállego and one of the places where the use of the Aragonese language is still preserved. It owes its existence to a bridge of Roman date, situated on the axis of the road that linked the Cinco Villas with the route towards the Pyrenees and France, of which remains are still preserved next to a milestone. In 1346 Pedro IV of Aragon granted the Council of Luna, on which it then depended as a hamlet, the right of toll over the bridge to finance its reconstruction after a flood. It also preserves the parish church of San Nicolás, remodelled in the 17th century, with two Gothic altarpieces from the second half of the 15th century.
