What to see and do in Cerbón

Cerbón
Village
Cerbón is a hamlet of 27 residents in the comarca of Tierras Altas, in the northeast of the province of Soria, which includes the settlement of Las Fuesas, bathed by the río Alhama, a tributary of the Ebro, south of the sierra de Alcarama. During the Middle Ages it belonged to the Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Magaña, later a lordship of the Marquis of Vadillo. Its church of San Pedro has had an open file as a historic-artistic monument since 4 January 1983. Cerbón gave rise to the demonym of the Navarrese town of Cintruénigo, «cirbonero», after the residents who settled there and founded the Cirboneros quarter. It celebrates its festivals in honour of Jesús de Nazareno, the weekend before Corpus Christi, and of the Virgen del Rosario, on the third Saturday of August.
