Village
Valdeprado is a municipality in the comarca of Tierras Altas, in the province of Soria, belonging to the judicial district of Soria and to the diocese of Osma, within the archdiocese of Burgos. With eight inhabitants spread across nearly 32 square kilometres, it is one of the emptiest municipalities in Spain; it includes the settlement of Castillejo de San Pedro, incorporated into its territory between the censuses of 1842 and 1857. After the fall of the Old Regime it was constituted as a constitutional municipality of the district of Ágreda, within the region of Castilla la Vieja, and in the 1842 census it still had 41 households and 170 inhabitants; by the mid-19th century it had 50 registered houses.
