Santo Tomé del Puerto
Village
Santo Tomé del Puerto is a municipality of about 230 inhabitants in the province of Segovia, located on the slopes of the Somosierra pass, at the junction of the A-1 motorway and the N-110 road. There is no settlement bearing the municipality's own name; it is formed by La Rades, Rosuero, Siguero, Sigueruelo and Villarejo, where the town hall is seated. It belongs to the Community of Town and Land of Sepúlveda, which resettled this territory during the Reconquista; its original council was the union of La Rades, Rosuero and Villarejo, also joined by their belonging to the abbey of Santo Tomás, founded in the 12th century. According to Madoz, around 1850 the municipality had 159 houses and 509 inhabitants.
