What to see and do in Sauquillo de Cabezas

Sauquillo de Cabezas
Village
Sauquillo de Cabezas is a locality in the province of Segovia, belonging to the former Sexmo de Cabezas of the Community of City and Land of Segovia, which also grouped villages such as Aldea Real, Cantimpalos, Escalona, Mozoncillo and Valseca. In the mid-19th century it had 469 inhabitants, a figure now reduced to 135. It preserves the church dedicated to San Pedro Apóstol. According to tradition, in 1678 its residents carried eight fanegas of wheat to nearby Escalona, a gesture that gave rise there to the traditional rosquillas auction.
