What to see and do in Zamarra

Zamarra
Village
Zamarra is a hamlet in the comarca of Ciudad Rodrigo, in the Los Agadones sub-comarca, whose municipal district —made up of Zamarra and its dependency Villarejo— covers 47.88 km² and has about 70 inhabitants. Part of the Ciudad Rodrigo judicial district, it arose from the resettlement carried out by the kings of León in the Middle Ages and was placed within the Campo de Agadones, inside the diocese that Ferdinand II of León created in Ciudad Rodrigo in the 12th century. With the creation of the present-day provinces in 1833 it became part of the province of Salamanca, within the Leonese Region.
