What to see and do in Serradilla del Arroyo

Serradilla del Arroyo
Village
Serradilla del Arroyo is a village of about 239 inhabitants, with the hamlet of Guadapero, in the sub-comarca of Los Agadones, within the comarca of Ciudad Rodrigo, province of Salamanca, whose territory, of 80.54 km², partly lies within the Las Batuecas-Sierra de Francia nature reserve. Its founding dates back to the repopulation carried out by the kings of León in the Middle Ages, placed within the Campo de Agadones of the diocese of Ciudad Rodrigo, created by Ferdinand II of León in the 12th century, when it was called Sierra del Arroyo. With the creation of the provinces in 1833 it passed to that of Salamanca. It celebrates three festivals a year: San Blas on February 3, San Lorenzo on August 10 and the Cristo de los Afligidos on September 14.
