What to see and do in Vecinos

Vecinos
Village
Vecinos is a municipality in the Campo de Salamanca or Campo Charro district, made up of nine settlements — Carneruelo, Casasola del Campo, Corbacera, Galleguillos, La Torre, La Torrita, Olmedilla, Sanchiricones and Vecinos itself — with 231 inhabitants. Its founding dates back to the medieval resettlement by the kings of León, when the place was integrated into the Corvacera quarter of the jurisdiction of Salamanca and was known, none too flatteringly, as Malos Vezinos. It had 234 inhabitants in the mid-19th century, a figure similar to today's. In 2023, depopulation caused the municipality to lose two councillors, so its elections are now held using open lists.

Curiosity
The municipality, called Malos Vezinos in the Middle Ages, spreads forty-five square kilometres of woodland and plain among nine small settlements such as Corbacera, Casasola del Campo, Sanchiricones or Carneruelo.
