La Revilla y Ahedo
Village
La Revilla y Ahedo is a municipality of 97 inhabitants in the Sierra de la Demanda comarca, made up of the villages of La Revilla, the capital at 943 meters of altitude, and Ahedo de la Sierra, joined by a local road; the municipal area, about 55 kilometers from Burgos, is crossed by the N-234 national road and bounded by the Peña de San Carlos, at 1,454 meters, in the valley of the Arlanza river. The municipality spreads three festivities across the summer: those of San Esteban, the first weekend of August, celebrated mainly in Ahedo de la Sierra, and those of Nuestra Señora de la Vega, the main ones in La Revilla, which coincide with the last weekend of August and last nearly a week.
