Revillarruz
Village
Revillarruz stands at 912 metres in the valley of the river de los Ausines, within the Alfoz de Burgos and 16 kilometres from the capital, and also includes the villages of Humienta and Olmosalbos. Its territory, which rises to 963 metres on a plateau to the northeast, is crossed by the national road linking Burgos with Soria. There, shared with neighbouring Carcedo, stands the Campanario wind farm, with nineteen 2,000 kW turbines and blades ninety metres in diameter that harness the wind of the plateau. With 621 inhabitants, the municipality preserves the church dedicated to the Nativity of St John the Baptist.
