Pálmaces de Jadraque
Village
Pálmaces de Jadraque is a municipality of the northern sierra of Guadalajara, in Castilla-La Mancha, situated at 918 metres of altitude. Its territory is crossed by the río Cañamares, whose waters are held back in the Pálmaces reservoir, which gives the locality its name. In the mid-19th century it had 245 inhabitants, a figure that has fallen to the current 54 (INE 2025), reflecting the depopulation characteristic of this mountain comarca. The village is recorded in Pascual Madoz's Geographical-Statistical-Historical Dictionary.
