Condemios de Abajo
Village
Condemios de Abajo is a municipality in the Serranía de Guadalajara, part of the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara Natural Park, amid pine forests and mountain springs; today it has barely 14 inhabitants. Its history is shared with that of neighbouring Condemios de Arriba: after the Reconquest it belonged to the Común de Atienza and later passed to the lordship of Miedes, held for centuries by the House of the Infantado. In the mid-19th century the village had as many as 220 inhabitants, a population that has since fallen drastically. Its church of la Natividad de Nuestra Señora was historically linked to the parish of Condemios de Arriba.
