On 21 June 1257, by privilege of King James I given at Teruel, it became part of the sesma of Jabaloyas, within the Comunidad de Santa María de Albarracín, an administrative regime directly dependent on the king which, with its seat today in Tramacastilla, is the only one to have survived the application of the 1837 decree dissolving these communities.
