The festivities of Saldón are celebrated in a municipality that, since the privilege granted by Jaime I on 21 June 1257, formed part of the sesma of Jabaloyas within the Comunidad de Santa María de Albarracín; its parish church, dedicated to la Asunción, dates from the 16th century.
