El Pobo is a mountain municipality of Comunidad de Teruel, located at an altitude of 1,399 metres, with 97 inhabitants. During the Middle Ages and until the provincial division of 1833 it belonged, as crown land, to the community of villages of Teruel, within the sesma of Campo de Monteagudo. In the mid-19th century it had 394 inhabitants, as recorded by Pascual Madoz in the thirteenth volume of his Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico de España, of 1849.
