What to see and do in Pedralba

Pedralba
Village
Pedralba is a municipality of Los Serranos, in Valencia, in a transition zone toward the Camp de Turia and the Hoya de Buñol-Chiva, crossed by the Turia river, which forms quaternary terraces on which a market garden has developed, today devoted mainly to citrus fruits, replacing the carob, olive, vine and cereal crops traditional forty years ago. With Mesolithic settlements dating between 9500 and 5000 BC, it preserves the remains of a Roman villa at the Cañada Larga-Mazcán-Cerrito Royo. James I handed over its castle to Berenguer d'Entença in 1237, and the present Baroque church was built in the mid-18th century on the foundations of the old mosque. It is a Spanish-speaking municipality, with recognized linguistic predominance, and has 3,225 inhabitants (INE 2025).
