What to see and do in Quatretonda

Quatretonda
Village
Quatretonda is a municipality in the province of Valencia, in the comarca of La Vall d'Albaida, with 2,174 inhabitants, on flat dry-farmed land between the 673 metres of the Alto de la Hiedra, to the north, and the 145 metres of the confluence of the Torrella and Pilarets ravines. Its documented roots go back to the 13th century, when it was mentioned in the Llibre del Repartiment among the grants made by James I in the term of Luchente, of which it formed part, as one of its streets, within the Barony of Luchente. In the 16th century, owing to its economic growth, King Philip I granted it the privilege of becoming an independent town, a seigneurial framework that lasted until the 19th century. Today it is known for the quality of its olive oil, a characteristic product of the comarca.
