La Molsosa
Village
La Molsosa is a municipality of 100 inhabitants at the southern end of the Solsonès, province of Lleida, which until 1990 belonged to the Anoia comarca; it includes the settlements of Anfesta and Prades. The municipality, divided into two sectors separated by a strip of Calonge de Segarra, was from its origin a domain of the viscountal house of Cardona: at the end of the 11th century and the beginning of the 12th, its castle was governed by castellans of the Òdena family under the viscounts of Cardona, and in 1375, when the county of Cardona was created, it was listed among its properties. In the mid-19th century, when the place consisted of several scattered farmhouses, it had 111 recorded inhabitants. It preserves the church of Santa María and the castle of Enfesta.
