What to see and do in Miralcamp

Miralcamp
Village
Miralcamp is a municipality of 1,369 inhabitants in the Lleida comarca of the Pla d'Urgell, at 287 metres of altitude, part of a conurbation centred on Mollerussa along with Palau de Anglesola, Golmés and Fondarella. Its economy is basically agricultural, centred on dessert fruit such as pears and apples, and it is home to a large meat-processing company that employs around 500 people. Its parish church, in Romanesque style, is dedicated to Sant Miquel Arcàngel, and the municipal term also preserves the Quelàs holm oak, over 700 years old, the Miralcamp oil mill, the Mòbila reservoir and the old Jan Bru industrial chimney. The historian Josep M. Solé i Sabaté, author of several books on the Spanish Civil War and the post-war period, was born in Miralcamp.
