Valdefinjas
Village
Valdefinjas is a hamlet of 60 inhabitants in Zamora province, in Castile and León, included within the Toro designation of origin. During the Middle Ages it was part of the Kingdom of León and of its resettlement, and in the Early Modern period it belonged to the province of Toro and to the Toro archpriesthood, being represented at the Leonese Cortes by the city of Toro from 1188 onward; in 1833 it passed to the province of Zamora. Wine has traditionally been made at home, though a winery has recently been set up in the municipality, whose economy revolves around farming and livestock.
