What to see and do in Bobadilla del Campo

Bobadilla del Campo
Village
Bobadilla del Campo is a hamlet of 279 inhabitants situated at about 760 metres of altitude, in the district of Tierra de Medina, province of Valladolid. In the mid-19th century, Pascual Madoz's dictionary recorded 240 inhabitants there, so its population has barely changed in a century and a half. The municipality has its own coat of arms and flag, officially approved on 24 August 2004.

Curiosity
The municipal symbols, approved on 24 August 2004, bear a mount vert surmounted by a hermitage; the flag crosses in white a cloth divided into red, green and blue. The village had eighty houses in 1849.

Food and drink
The farming of the municipal district relied historically on wheat, barley, vetch and the chickpea, the latter the pulse that sustained the stewpot of the houses of the countryside until well into the twentieth century.
