Fuentecambrón
Village
Fuentecambrón is a municipality of 29 inhabitants in the Tierras del Burgo district, in the judicial district of El Burgo de Osma, 87 kilometres from the city of Soria and crossed by the N-110 road; besides the eponymous hamlet, it also includes that of Cenegro, incorporated into the municipality between the 1842 and 1857 censuses. The land of the depopulated village of Santuy was divided between Fuentecambrón and the neighbouring villages of Torraño and Piquera de San Esteban. In the 1787 census it was recorded with 139 inhabitants, under seigneurial jurisdiction and with a pedáneo mayor appointed by the marchioness of Villena; once that administration fell, it became a municipality of Old Castile, and by the mid-19th century it had 44 houses, according to Madoz. Its relief, between the Sistema Central and the Duero valley, is flat with a few isolated elevations.
