What to see and do in Momblona

Momblona
Village
Momblona is a municipality in the comarca and judicial district of Almazán, in the province of Soria, at 1,062 metres above sea level on a flat municipal area of 22.91 km² watered by the river Morón, with oak and holm oak woods. It has 19 inhabitants, against the 72 households and 288 inhabitants recorded by the 1842 census and the roughly 73 houses of the mid-19th century, figures that measure the depopulation this corner of the upper Duero has suffered. After the fall of the Ancien Régime it was constituted as a constitutional municipality of Old Castile; it retains a town hall, a school and the parish church of the Asunción, already mentioned by Madoz.

Monument
The church dedicated to the Asunción is the main attraction of this village of stone and adobe houses: its chevet, short and rectangular, is covered with a Renaissance coffered ceiling of carved wood.
