Adradas
Village
Adradas is a municipality in the comarca of Almazán, in the province of Soria, situated at 1,051 m above sea level on land that descends towards the Duero valley, and crossed by the N-111 and A-15 roads. It has about 65 inhabitants across the settlements of Adradas, Ontalvilla de Almazán and Sauquillo del Campo, the latter incorporated into the municipality in the mid-19th century; in 1970 Hontalbilla de Almazán was added as well. In 1787 it appeared as a manorial holding of the Count of Altamira, with jurisdiction exercised by a local deputy mayor and 201 inhabitants. The Torralba-Soria railway, opened in 1892, runs through the village, although the train stopped calling there in 1987 and the halt is still preserved. Its church is dedicated to Santa Eulalia de Mérida.
The walled church of San Miguel
Monument
The twelfth-century Romanesque parish church preserves a walled enclosure that surrounds it, an uncommon solution that turned the church into a refuge for the residents in an area of frontier between Castile and Aragon.
