What to see and do in Estepa de San Juan

Estepa de San Juan
Village
Estepa de San Juan is a hamlet of thirteen inhabitants in the Soria comarca of Almarza, located in the sierra de San Miguel, also called de Oncala, at the foot of the puerto de Oncala (1,454 m) and watered by the río Merdancho, in the Duero basin. A large part of its territory, covered with holly, oak, mallow and thyme, is included in the Natura 2000 network as the Site of Community Importance of Oncala-Valtajeros. It lives off crops of cereal, wheat and barley, and sheep and cattle farming. It preserves the parish church of San Esteban, a 16th-century chapel, and celebrates three festivities: San Pedro in June and San Esteban and San Roque in August.
