Sequera de Fresno
Village
Sequera de Fresno is a village of 42 inhabitants in the province of Segovia that belonged to the Comunidad de Villa y Tierra de Fresno de Cantespino, which still survives, administering communal woodlands. In its territory four settlements disappeared, among them Aldea Cervigal, recorded as Aldehuela de San Miguel de Cervigal in 1396, as well as Mezquetillas, next to the present-day Prado Pinilla de Fresno development, and San Quílez. In the mid-19th century it had 175 inhabitants, more than four times what it has today. It belongs to the judicial district of Riaza, within the Diputación Provincial de Segovia.
