Castro de Fuentidueña
Village
Castro de Fuentidueña is a hamlet of 19.72 km² in the province of Segovia, with the spring of La Salvadora and a continentalized Mediterranean climate with scarce rainfall, concentrated outside summer. It had 201 inhabitants in the mid-19th century; the rural exodus, especially intense between 1950 and 1980, reduced it to today's 41, although in the warm months its population can multiply tenfold, according to the Diputación's Comarcal Statistics Institute. In the cellars of the Santa Lucía hill the traditional family gatherings are held, and for some years the village has also hosted a rock festival, the Segorock.
