Riberos de la Cueza
Village
Riberos de la Cueza is a hamlet in Tierra de Campos, in the province of Palencia, situated beside the río Cueza, 38.6 kilometres from the capital and 4.6 from Cervatos de la Cueza; a stretch of the Leonese royal drove road crosses the north of its municipal area. It has just over fifty inhabitants, against the 307 it reached in 1900. Its economy is based on extensive dryland farming and sheep raising. The Baroque parish church of Santa María, with three naves covered by groin vaults masked with plasterwork, holds altarpieces from the 17th and 18th centuries and venerates the Bendito Cristo de la Salud, with patronal festivities on 8 and 9 September.
