Cardeñosa de Volpejera
Village
Cardeñosa de Volpejera is a hamlet of about sixty-five inhabitants in the small valley formed by the Madre del Val stream before it flows into the río Carrión, south of Villoldo, in Tierra de Campos; it is reached by the road linking Paredes de Nava with Villamuera de la Cueza. In the mid-19th century it had 250 inhabitants. It was called simply Cardeñosa until the 1916 reform of municipal names, and it preserves the church of San Juan Bautista and the hermitage dedicated to Nuestra Señora de Arbas.
