La Horra
Village
La Horra is a municipality in the province of Burgos (Castilla y León), in the comarca of La Ribera, judicial district of Aranda. It is first documented in 1143, as Calaforram, among the 33 hamlets of the alfoz of Roa, under whose jurisdiction it remained, under the lordship of the Duke of Siruelo, until Philip V granted it the title of villa in 1725, by a Real Carta Ejecutoria de Exención de Jurisdicción. With 295 inhabitants, in the area of underground cellars of El Cogollo, with their characteristic conical zarceras, a wine museum has been set up, and the municipality also has a wool museum.
