What to see and do in Quintanavides

Quintanavides
Village
Quintanavides is a municipality of 65 inhabitants in the Burgos comarca of La Bureba, a natural corridor towards the Meseta from the Basque Country, through which the Cerratón river flows, between Monte Pelado to the north and the Montes de Oca to the south; the village stands at 825 metres. It was a town of the cuadrilla of Prádano, one of the seven of the Merindad de Bureba, under crown jurisdiction. It lies on the pilgrim route known as the Bayona route, where in the 14th century a pilgrims' hospital with eight beds operated; today it has a hostel. Its church, from the 16th century, has a tower and a 17th-century altarpiece. The Llanos de San Martín wind farm, shared with Castil de Peones and Santa María del Invierno, has 21 wind turbines within its municipal area.
