What to see and do in Nava de Arévalo

Nava de Arévalo
Village
Nava de Arévalo is a municipality of about 647 inhabitants at 864 metres above sea level that brings together five settlements: Magazos, Noharre, Palacios Rubios, Vinaderos and Nava itself, which arose from the settlement of peasants who worked for the feudal lords of Arévalo; the village is already mentioned in the 17th century as the pine wood of Arévalo. Its church, dedicated to San Pedro Apóstol, dates from the 16th century, in Mudéjar style, and holds baroque altars and a gallery at the foot of the temple inside. An agricultural village, its patron saints are San Isidro, on 15 May, and above all Corpus Christi, the most widely followed feast, ten days after Whit Monday; the Virgen del Carmen is also celebrated by a confraternity on 16 July, as is Santa Águeda on 5 February.
The Arevalillo valley
Nature
The Arevalillo here marks the boundary with Tiñosillos before flowing into the Adaja at the foot of Arévalo. On its banks the cereal countryside meets the stone pine woods that announce the Castilian Tierra de Pinares.
