Aldeaseca is a town of 211 inhabitants located in the middle of the grain-growing plain of La Moraña, province of Ávila, at 859 metres above sea level, within the judicial district of Arévalo. In the mid-19th century, according to what Pascual Madoz recorded in his geographical dictionary, the place had 328 registered inhabitants, considerably more than it retains today. The municipality has its own heraldic coat of arms and flag, officially approved on 24 June 2006.
