Gimialcón
Village
Gimialcón is an abulense hamlet of 73 inhabitants at 948 metres of altitude, founded between the 10th and 13th centuries under the name Xemenfalcón by resettlers who came from La Rioja and from Basque-Navarrese lands. In the mid-19th century, when it had 116 residents, Madoz's dictionary described it as having 35 poorly laid-out houses and unpaved streets, together with a parish church dedicated to the Asunción de Nuestra Señora, a hermitage of Nuestra Señora de la Rosa and a tile and brick works.
