La Estrella is a municipality in the comarca of La Jara, in the province of Toledo, with 251 inhabitants (INE 2025), located on the slope of a hill that descends from southeast to northwest and crossed by the río Huso. Its place name is linked to the Latin stela, after the funerary stelae found in the municipal area that attest to Roman-era settlement; on top of the sierra Ancha an Iron Age hillfort is also preserved. It belonged to the lordship of Talavera de la Reina and to the archbishops of Toledo.
