The parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción is the temple of La Estrella, a municipality in the comarca of La Jara (Toledo). It preserves a 20th-century polychrome wood carving, made in the 1940s by the artist Francisca García García, a native of La Calzada de Oropesa, the main piece of its religious heritage.
