Las Navas de Jadraque
Village
Las Navas de Jadraque is a municipality of the northern sierra of Guadalajara, with 37 inhabitants, an example of black architecture in which the traditional appearance of the buildings has been preserved, with slate as the leading material of the village. In the mid-19th century, according to Madoz's Dictionary, it had 115 inhabitants. It preserves the church under the invocation of the Asunción de Nuestra Señora; the Jadraque stream waters its vegetable gardens, and a silver mine was formerly worked in its territory.
