What to see and do in Valdelinares

Valdelinares
Village
Valdelinares is the Spanish municipality whose head town lies at the highest altitude, 1695 metres, in the Teruel comarca of Gúdar-Javalambre, with 82 inhabitants. It was royal crown land from the Middle Ages until 1833, within the community of villages of Teruel. Between 1900 and 2000 metres grows the black pine or "pino moro", which here forms the southernmost forest of this species in Europe. The climate, Mediterranean mountain with continental influence, brings extreme winters, with temperatures below -20 °C, and cool summers that rarely exceed 25 °C. It lends its name to the ski resort that made it the star, in 2015, of a car advertising campaign.
