Peñarroya Peak Nature · Valdelinares, Gúdar-Javalambre, Teruel The Pico de Peñarroya, 2,028 metres high, is the highest peak of the Iberian System in Teruel and the highest point of the province of Teruel, right in the sierra de Gúdar. It is a residual hill of Cretaceous limestone and sandstone, shaped by karstic and periglacial processes during the Quaternary. At its summit stands a geodetic vertex about 10 metres high, which can be climbed, from where the Maestrazgo and the sierra de Javalambre can be seen.
