Foradada del Toscar
Village
Foradada del Toscar is a municipality of 163 inhabitants in the province of Huesca, in the comarca of Ribagorza, on its Pre-Pyrenean slope, bringing together ten population centres between the 600 metres of the Ésera river and the 2,913 metres of the Cotiella peak, on the border with La Fueva and Plan. The village stands at 980 metres and is divided into upper and lower village. In its hamlets two native languages coexist: fovano, spoken in A Cort, As Corz and Foradada, and Ribagorçan Aragonese, in the remaining settlements. It preserves the church of San Andrés, from the 16th and 17th centuries with later reforms, and celebrates its main festivities in honour of this saint.
