Tramaced
Village
Tramaced is a municipality in the Huescan comarca of the Hoya de Huesca, with 108 inhabitants, situated on the slope of the sierra of the same name, 28 kilometres from the capital. It is documented from 5 April 1097, when Peter I of Aragon ordered that a canon be endowed for the cathedral of Huesca with the revenues of the place. It preserves the parish church of San Miguel, from the sixteenth century and in Aragonese Gothic style, the hermitage of Nuestra Señora del Puyal, and a pre-Hispanic necropolis with children's graves cut into sandstone. In 1845 it was joined to the municipality of Usón, from which it became independent again around 1950-1960. Its festival is celebrated on 10 February, in honour of Nuestra Señora del Puyal, and on 8 September, the feast of the Nativity of Our Lady.
